We tested: 3 (19°), 4 (22°), 5 (25°) and 6 (29°) with Mitsubishi Rayon Bassara graphite shaft

Key Technologies: Tungsten weights in the heel and toe (totaling 70 grams) lower the club's CG and increase MOI for improved stability on offcenter hits. The four-way cambered sole enhances playability from various lies, while the ultra-thin face increases ball speed. The Idea Tech V3 hits it, on average, 6 to 7 yards longer than the Idea a7OS.

OUR TESTERS SAY: One of the most-preferred hybrids; excellent long-iron replacements that can work for golfers of all abilities.
PROS

PLAYABILITY: Penetrating trajectory; some testers can shape shots; gets ball up with ease from difficult lies.

ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Extremely forgiving - straight balls are the order of the day.

DISTANCE: A few testers pick up an extra 5 to 10 yards, while most experience comparable length to their own hybrids.

FEEL: One of the best-feeling hybrids on solid strikes; the club's overall weighting is just right - clubhead is substantial but not sluggish or excessively heavy.

LOOK: Simple, black finish; clean lines, no distractions at address.

CONS

Thin shots can feel stingy; a few testers prefer loft on clubhead in addition to club number.
